US website publishes false counter-security news item against Iran

Tehran, May 1, IRNA – US news website World Net Daily which had a record of publishing anti-Iranian news items among its Wednesday news claimed baselessly that IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was arrested temporarily by some Iranian security forces Wednesday evening.

This false news item was published on the website of this foreign news agency inclusive of several contradictions.

It seems as if the publication of such false news items at the present time is in the framework of a counter-intelligence, anti-Iranian project, which is aimed at influencing the upcoming 11th Islamic Republic of Iran Presidential Elections, which will take place in less than two months, and is aimed at conveying the idea of the existence of a dual-governance tendency idea within the structure of the Iranian political system.

This US website is publishing this false news item under such conditions that some Iranian media, close to some political tendencies opposed to the IRI Government, too, have been trying to publish some false news items against President Ahmadinejad during the recent days within the framework of an internal counter-intelligence project.
